Two (2) year Certificate course
For secondary school leavers at form four
level who have attained at least a mean grade of C- (C minus) in the
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination or the equivalent. Limited to 40 students annually.
This course offers both practical and
theoretical work for trainees, coupled with field attachments and
experience with communities who have enhanced their livelihood as a
result of training by MHAC or by MHAC graduates.
The 2-year training program has graduated more than 400 trainees. Several
graduates have gone on to pursue post-graduate studies at Masters and
Ph.D. level abroad and have been reported to be well prepared and
competitive.

Field attachments provide trainees with a chance to learn and exchange ideas with farmers, local communities, NGOs and other organizations carrying out sustainable development. To date our 2-year trainees have undertaken field attachments in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Demand for the trainees for such attachment placement is high since they are innovative and practical.

| Three (3) Months Course
This course is designed for extensionists working with NGOs, government ministries, development bodies and other international organizations. Past participants for this short course have been drawn from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Chad, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Canada and USA.

| One (1)Week Farmers Workshop
These are attended by community groups, farmer groups and youth who are active in rural farming. The trainees are equipped with practical skills and some theory in GROW BIOINTENSIVE agriculture.

Day Tours
Popular with community groups, schools, colleges, clubs and university students on academic tours. Some skills are demonstrated and the GROW BIOINTENSIVE approach is explained.
